What makes a powerful reader?
At our September Professional Learning Day, we explored that question "what makes a powerful reader?" The intent of this lesson was to model using the think-aloud strategy, so colleagues could see the key areas that good readers use, both as decoders but more importantly as comprehenders.
This built an anchor chart of what research tells us that good readers need in order to succeed.
