Continuing with our school focus on reading, Cook staff used the DART reading assessment in all classes to collect baseline data. As a school, we decided to use the data according to grade groups. For example, the grade 2/3 teams looked at the data for their classes and noticed strengths, stretches and discussed next steps for the remainder of the school year. Attached you will see the data across all grade groups as well as the targeted reading areas that each grade group is committing to work on from now until the end of June. Another assessment will occur in May to assess our progress.
